Description:
Become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of HDL solutions for New Glenn launch vehicle avionics. As a senior team member you will influence design, focus on meeting system level requirements and mentor team members. Activities will include developing requirements with cross-functional teams, writing HDL code targeted for design and verification, hands-on testing, and integration of FPGA designs in various avionics systems. Responsibilities:
Passion for Blue Origin’s mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
Participate in all phases of FPGA design and verification to produce safety critical spacecraft hardware.
Implement HDL designs using Verilog / System Verilog.
Generate verification tests based on functional requirements.
Evaluate test results and test metrics against design requirements.
Generate test verification reports and certification artifacts.
Participate in design development of next generation avionics implementations.
Mentor others in FPGA architectures, design, and verification.
Qualifications:
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related disciplines with 8+ years of experience
Self-directed team-player with demonstrated experience developing mission or safety critical systems.
Strong background in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and FPGA tool flow.
HDL Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL or VHDL-2008.
Solid knowledge of simulation based validation and verification.
Experience with Riviera, Modelsim, or Questasim simulators.
Familiarity with I2C, SPI, Serial, JTAG and Ethernet interfaces.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
Experience with advanced verification techniques: Assertion-based Verification, UVM, and Constrained Random Verification.
Experience with Avionics hardware development, verification, testing, and certification.
Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254 and/or other development assurance guidelines.
Experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems or control systems.
